Ewa Gillabert obtained a Master degree in law at the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin. During her studies she participated in two student exchange programmes in Germany: at the University of Greifswald and the University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder. Afterwards Ewa Gillabert continued her postgraduate education at the Europa-Institut University of Saarland in Saarbrücken, where she obtained the Master of European Law (LL.M.) degree.
After her graduation, Ewa Gillabert did an internship in Brussels at the lobbying organization representing the interests of European magazine publishers. She then worked in Warsaw in one of the largest Polish law offices in the field of intellectual property law and information technologies (IP/IT). Afterwards, she worked for the Polish government as a lawyer responsible for drafting and editing the government legislation and analysing its compatibility with Polish and European jurisprudence.
