Since 2014, he has served as an Innosuisse coach, helping hundreds of startups build strong and strategically aligned IP portfolios to support their business goals.<\/p>\n<p>He holds a first-class honours Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College Cork, Ireland, where he earned the academic title of Scholar for outstanding results. Ronan began his IP career at Motorola, gaining industry experience in telecommunications before transitioning to private practice in Dublin in 2005. He later joined a leading UK patent firm before moving to P&amp;TS in 2010. In 2014, he established the Z\u00fcrich branch (P&amp;TS AG), where he now serves as Director.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently completing a Master\u2019s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Digital Technologies and Intellectual Property.<\/p>\n<p>Ronan advises clients on patents, trade secrets, designs, trademarks, software law, AI law, data protection, and IP strategy.<\/p>\n<p>He has extensive experience representing clients before the European Patent Office (EPO), the UK Intellectual Property Office, and major patent offices across Asia. His practice covers the full spectrum of patent prosecution, from drafting and examination to complex procedural strategies in multinational portfolios.<\/p>\n<p>He regularly acts in EPO oppositions and oral proceedings in technically challenging cases.
