Whether promoting an innovative image of Switzerland and its business fabric in China, supporting Swiss SMEs in their international expansion, or opening new markets for a leading Swiss company in the renewable energy sector, Romain has always worked alongside companies that create, invent and strive to grow. It is this familiarity with the innovation ecosystem, and with the concrete challenges faced by SMEs and start-ups, that he now brings to the clients of P&amp;TS.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of a multidisciplinary master&#8217;s degree in Asian Studies from the University of Geneva and the Geneva Graduate Institute, with a specialisation in contemporary China, he began his career in the watchmaking industry, working successively for several prestigious maisons, first in communications and then in sales.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, he moved to Beijing. He first joined SwissCham China, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China, eventually becoming its General Manager. He was subsequently recruited by the Swiss Embassy in China, where he spent nearly four years as Deputy Head of the Culture &amp; Media section, working to promote a renewed and innovative image of Switzerland. During this period, he also served as Chairman of the Board of the Swiss School of Beijing for three years.<\/p>\n<p>Returning to Switzerland after six years in China, he first supported Swiss SMEs in their development on the Chinese market with Swiss Centers China, before joining Eturnity, a Swiss SaaS software company specialising in the sale of renewable energy installations, where he developed the UK, French and Scandinavian markets.<\/p>\n<p>Outside P&amp;TS, Romain runs, hikes and skis depending on the season, and enjoys gathering around a good table with friends and family.
