On 23rd March 2016 several changes came into effect regarding the community trademark :<\/p>\n

  1. The office changed its name to\u00a0\u00abEuropean\u00a0Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) \u00bb.<\/li>\n
  2. The \u00ab community trade mark \u00bb became the \u00ab European Union trade mark \u00bb.<\/li>\n
  3. The class headings do not cover all the products or services of the class, only the products or services of the\u00a0specifically designated class.\u00a0 So it is necessary to make sure that\u00a0the products and services are described in a precise manner. P&TS has been drawing up specifications of goods and services in this way for many years so that no amendment will be necessary if the trademark\u00a0needs to cover new products and services.<\/li>\n
