Patents in the process of being filed, innovation protection strategies, information about inventions: the data we handle on a daily basis is subject to the strictest professional confidentiality.<\/p>\n<p>Deploying AI without safeguards was therefore out of the question. Equally, staying away from such a transformative technology on the grounds of risk was not an option either. The objective lay elsewhere: to deploy AI in a genuinely useful way, delivering measurable added value to our teams, while never compromising the confidentiality of our clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Casparoff: A Purpose-Built AI Interface<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To meet this objective, P&amp;TS developed &#8220;Casparoff&#8221;: a unique, AI-powered web interface that provides access to all of the company&#8217;s data and allows it to be queried in natural language. A tool built from scratch within our own environment, for our team members.<\/p>\n<p><strong>An Agile Method, from MVP to Continuous Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What sets the Casparoff project apart is as much the method as the result. Rather than launching a cumbersome technology project with an exhaustive set of requirements, P&amp;TS chose a radically different approach:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fast start:<\/strong>\u00a0A deliberately minimalist brief and a first MVP tested internally after just one week of development<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dedicated talent:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.patentattorneys.ch\/en\/our-team\/employees\/timo-blattner\/\">Timo Blattner<\/a>, a recent university graduate, was specifically recruited to lead the development<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bottom-up approach:<\/strong>\u00a0Future users are involved at every stage of the product&#8217;s evolution<\/li>\n<li><strong>Governance:<\/strong>\u00a0A steering committee, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/cbardyn\/\">Charles-Edouard Bardyn<\/a>\u00a0and P&amp;TS team members, sets priorities and validates strategic directions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The goal was not to replicate existing processes by injecting AI here and there, but to identify where AI can genuinely make a difference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Data Security: Three Non-Negotiable Pillars<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Data security was the guiding principle throughout the entire process. AI deployment in business, when done seriously, demands clear choices. P&amp;TS built its approach around three fundamental pillars:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Confidentiality:<\/strong>\u00a0No training of models on our data, no permanent storage of prompts or responses outside our perimeter, strict limitation of transmitted information, and encryption of all access points.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Data sovereignty and localisation:<\/strong>\u00a0No data may be stored or processed outside Switzerland or the European Union. The jurisdiction of the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) is contractually recognised by all partners involved.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technological independence:<\/strong>\u00a0P&amp;TS has not tied itself to any specific LLM, thereby preserving its freedom of choice and ability to adapt in the face of a rapidly evolving market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These requirements were formalised according to a dual logic: <em>by design<\/em>, integrated from the outset into the interface&#8217;s architecture, and contractually with all project partners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>An Experience That Directly Benefits Our Clients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Casparoff project is not merely an internal exercise: it directly feeds into the value P&amp;TS brings to the companies it supports.
