We are currently seeking to recruit for our Neuchâtel office a

Patent attorney or patent engineer, French-English, in Neuchâtel

The main responsibilities consist of:

– Patent applications: the analysis of invention announcements, strategy proposals, patentability searches, drafting patent applications in French and English, examining applications.

– Searches: patentability searches, freedom-to-operate searches, in collaboration with our team of patent information analysts.

 Audits: IP roadmaps, IP assessments.

– Business Development:  management and independent development of client portfolios.

Preference will be given to a qualified patent attorney with prior experience; however, we do also train candidates with a strong scientific background and willing to pass the exam and become a patent attorney. We are particularly looking for candidates with an initial qualification as a physicist, electrical engineer, and/or microtechnology engineer, and able to deal with inventions in promising fields such as Atrifical Intelligence, blockchains, biometrics, semiconductors etc.

The candidate must be able to conduct meetings in French and in English and be able to draft in these two languages; an at least passive knowledge of German is also required.

We are also looking to recruit for our Neuchâtel office a:

Commercial employee

Bilingual English and French, with knowledge of German or Swiss-German.

Following a training period within the company, the main tasks will include:

– Patent applications: support to the engineers and lawyers with all procedures involved in obtaining patents and designs, including correspondence in English and French with inventors and agents in Switzerland, Europe and in more than 65 countries; keeping track of deadlines, cost estimates and invoicing.

Reception: reception of clients, answering the telephone in French, German and English, organising of meetings and taking minutes.

Prior experience in an intellectual property firm or a law firm is an advantage. We are looking for a meticulous person, able to work both independently as well as in a team, and totally at ease with IT.

 

We are looking to recruit for our Neuchâtel office a:

Mediamatician at 40%

English and French, with at least a passive knowledge of German or Swiss-German.

The tasks will include:

– to develop marketing and communication measures using the P&TS website; manage P&TS’s communication on social networks, by producing and publishing news releases in French, German and English; develop web pages; produce image, sound and film data in collaboration with our communication agency.

– to set up work stations (hardware and software) for our users and supply primary level IT support on Office software.

– to assist with the deployment of software tools and databases on the cloud and on the company’s internal network.

– to illustrate reports, generate Powerpoint presentations and create templates of documents.

– to work on event organisation

We are seeking a creative personality, able to able to work both independently as well as in a team, totally at ease with IT and ready to join a dynamic, rapidly-growing international team.

 

 

 

We are looking to recruit for our Neuchâtel office a:

Senior patent information analyst

English-French

The main tasks will include:

– patent research, in particular patentability research, freedom-to-operate searches, panoramic searches, searches with a view to invalidate a patent and patent landscaping.

– IP due diligence, in particular for mergers and acquisitions, licence contracts etc.

– complex freedom-to-operate searches

The candidate must have a thorough technological training, if possible in physics, telecommunications or microtechnology, and several years of experience in patent search and technological watch. We are looking for a person able to use modern search tools, including tools based on semantic search, to analyse tens and sometimes hundreds of thousands of pertinent documents relating to a problem, and to draw conclusions and make recommendations presented in high-level reports.

The candidate must be able to conduct meetings in German and in English and be able to draft in both languages; at least a passive knowledge of French is also required. We are particularly looking for candidates with initial qualification as a physicist, electrical engineer, mechanical and/or microtechnology engineer.
