It all started on 21 October 2019. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of our company, we presented the premiere of the completely crazy project, launched by young students and graduates from the EPFL, to build the fastest sailing boat in the world. The record of 65.45 knots (121.21 km/h) has remained unbroken since 2012. The SP80 project aims to break this record to reach the extraordinary speed of 80 knots (approx. 150 km/h)
Achieving such a sporting and technological feat would not be possible without a comprehensive intellectual property strategy put in place by P&TS. Thanks to this support and the dynamism of the SP80 team, the construction of the boat started in record time and is now sufficiently advanced to reveal the final design – and the least we can say is that it is out of the ordinary!
If the revelation of the boat attests to the end of a stage and a spectacular advance that highlights the work of a multidisciplinary team, P&TS does not intend to stop there. We are delighted to continue this partnership and to accompany SP80 in the continuation of this incredible adventure so that together, we can make history in sailing.
