A little-known story born from behind-the-scenes work and the successful combination of elite sport, precision engineering, and patent strategy.
It all began in the early 2000s on a training ground in Valais, with the development of a revolutionary sensor capable of measuring movement with unprecedented accuracy. Quickly adopted by top athletes, this device paved the way for a new era of connected training.
Faced with production challenges, the Swiss creators chose a different path: focusing on technology and intellectual property rather than manufacturing!
This strategic shift, supported in particular by P&TS, enabled the technology to travel from Valais to the United States, now integrated at the heart of smartwatches around the world!
A discreet triumph of Swiss ingenuity.
Our Portraits of Inventors retraces this remarkable journey, from Myotest to Slyde Watch, from the Rhône Valley all the way to Texas. ⬇️
