P&TS took part in the Sino-Swiss Women’s Forum 2017 in Chengdu, China, 16-17 November 2017. The topic was: « Connect for Entrepreneurship, Research, Management and Education.” There were about 300 attendees at this forum, including a Swiss delegation of about twenty people.
Annora Ho, Senior Foreign Filing Officer at P&TS, made a presentation “Mixing the Traditional with the Cutting Edge.” She spoke about Switzerland, the rankings in terms of innovation, and of the canton of Neuchâtel, also at the forefront of innovation. Many Swiss inventions in the fields of watchmaking, med-tech and aviation (Solar Impulse) were mentioned. Annora’s speech underlined the importance of intellectual property in the protection of inventions resulting from this innovation dynamic and explained the range of services that P&TS has to offer to innovative companies.
